Srisailam Yadadri Yatra
A relaxed 4-day pilgrimage from Hyderabad to Srisailam, Yadadri, the Statue of Equality and Birla Mandir
4 days, from Hyderabad, from ₹9,999 per person
The Srisailam Yadadri Yatra is a four-day pilgrimage from Hyderabad to some of the best-known temples of the Telugu states. It begins with Srisailam, where the Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga and the Bhramaramba Shakti Peetham are worshipped in one complex, then Patalaganga and the Srisailam dam. Back in Hyderabad, you visit the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at Yadadri, and in the evening the Statue of Equality, lit up with its evening shows. The last morning has Birla Mandir and a late-morning drop.
You stay one night in Srisailam and two in Hyderabad, in Standard rooms, with breakfast included. The plan keeps the drive through the Nallamala forest to daylight, and leaves time for darshan queues.
The best months are October to March. Temple timings, special darshan rules, road rules and the statue's show times change, so we confirm them locally. Dress decently or traditionally, carry a photo ID, and expect crowds at weekends and festivals.
Spiritual significance
- Srisailam is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and also holds the Bhramaramba Devi shrine, counted among the eighteen great Shakti Peethas, a rare pairing in one place.
- The Krishna river at Patalaganga and the Srisailam dam add a scenic, natural side to the pilgrimage.
- Yadadri is the hill temple of Lakshmi Narasimha, the protective form of Vishnu, and one of the most visited temples of Telangana.
- The Statue of Equality honours Ramanujacharya, and is at its best in the evening when it is lit.
- Birla Mandir gives a calm morning in Hyderabad, with views of the lake and the city.
