Nashik Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga Yatra
A relaxed 4-day pilgrimage through Nashik's Ramayana sites and the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga
4 days, from Nashik, from ₹12,999 per person
The Nashik Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga Yatra is an unhurried four-day pilgrimage through one of India's most sacred river landscapes. Nashik and Trimbakeshwar sit on the banks of the Godavari, and the yatra brings together a Jyotirlinga, the Panchavati of the Ramayana, ancient caves and quiet hill shrines.
The journey covers Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga, Kushavarta Kund and Brahmagiri, the Panchavati temples with the Ramkund aarti, Pandavleni Caves, Someshwar, Tapovan, Muktidham and Anjaneri Hill, traditionally the birthplace of Hanuman.
The yatra starts and ends at Nashik Road station or Ozar airport. It keeps to three to four stops a day with time to rest each afternoon and a free evening, so it suits families, elders and devotees who want a meaningful pilgrimage without a rush. The Brahmagiri and Anjaneri walks are optional, so those who prefer can wait at the foot.
Spiritual significance
- Trimbakeshwar is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Shiva and the place where the Godavari rises on Brahmagiri, so the yatra combines a Jyotirlinga with the sacred source of the river.
- Panchavati in Nashik is traditionally the place where Rama, Sita and Lakshmana lived during their exile, and Ramkund, Kalaram Mandir and Sita Gufaa keep these stories alive.
- Kushavarta Kund and Ramkund are among the main places for ancestral rites and sacred bathing in the Godavari tradition.
- Anjaneri Hill is traditionally regarded as the birthplace of Hanuman, which links the yatra to the Ramayana story.
- A slow pace, with time to rest each day, helps travellers focus on prayer and reflection instead of hurrying from one stop to the next.
