Kolkata Temples and Belur Math Yatra

A 3-day Kolkata temple yatra: Kalighat, Dakshineswar, Belur Math, Birla Mandir and the Parasnath Jain Temple

3 days, from Kolkata, from ₹7,599 per person

The Kolkata Temples and Belur Math Yatra is a three-day journey through the spiritual heart of Kolkata. It brings together Kalighat, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, the Dakshineswar Kali Temple where Sri Ramakrishna worshipped, Belur Math, the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Mission founded by Swami Vivekananda, and two quieter stops: the white marble Birla Mandir and the glittering Parasnath Jain Temple.

You stay two nights in Standard rooms in Kolkata, with breakfast included. Arrival is flexible, with the pickup at any time up to about 2 pm, so the first evening is not lost. Day 2 adds two of Kolkata's best-known sights after the morning temples: the Victoria Memorial in the afternoon and a sunset at Prinsep Ghat on the Hooghly. The Victoria Memorial is closed on Mondays.

Dress modestly, with shoulders and knees covered, and expect crowds at Kalighat and Dakshineswar, especially at weekends and on festival days. Priests may offer pujas, so agree on a price first or politely decline. Timings change, and we confirm them locally. The best months are October to March.
